A refined alternative to plastic in the kitchen. This long wooden spatula is hand-carved from solid smoked oak and finished with food-safe linseed oil — offering a non-toxic, durable, and naturally antibacterial tool for everyday cooking.
Its elongated form makes it ideal for use over deeper pans or open flame, while the balanced shape and symmetrical grip provide control and comfort for both left- and right-handed use. Designed for turning, stirring, and serving with ease.
Smoked oak is treated using traditional methods — with heat and smoke, not chemicals — which enhances its stain resistance and gives the wood a deep, warm tone, without compromising its natural properties.
Each spatula is handmade in a small woodshop in Latvia. A thoughtful choice for those who value clean materials, timeless design, and craftsmanship that lasts.

The Beauty and Benefits of Smoked Oak:
Smoked oak undergoes a traditional treatment using only heat and smoke — no chemicals, no added stains. This natural process activates the wood’s tannins, drawing out a rich, warm tone from within while preserving the integrity of the grain.
The result is not only visually striking but also highly functional: a durable, food-safe material that’s naturally antibacterial and more resistant to stains than lighter wood. Smoked oak offers timeless beauty and lasting performance — ideal for conscious cooks who value quality and craftsmanship.
Material: 100% solid oak wood, finished with food-safe linseed oil Finish: Smoked (naturally darkened) oak
Please note: Because our spatulas are handmade from natural wood, slight variations in color, grain, and shape are to be expected. These subtle differences celebrate the artisanal process and the unique beauty of each item.

Care Instructions & FAQ
Keep your handcrafted pieces beautiful for years to come — simple tips and answers to your most asked questions.
Daily Clean: Hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Dry thoroughly after each use to maintain the wood’s finish.
Deep Clean: For an occasional refresh, gently boil the spatula for a few minutes to remove residue. Let it dry completely (preferably overnight), then re-oil with a food-grade oil like linseed, walnut, or sunflower. This keeps the wood smooth and prevents cracking.
Tip: Always store the spatula dry, and avoid olive oil — it can leave a sticky surface over time.
We recommend hand washing only. Harsh dishwasher detergents can damage the wood and strip away its protective finish. If that happens, simply restore it by re-oiling with a food-grade vegetable oil such as avocado, flaxseed, walnut, or sunflower oil. Avoid using olive oil as it can become sticky over time.
Oak is a natural material and may absorb strong colors from sauces or spices — especially the lighter, natural finish. This is normal and will fade gradually with use.
Our smoked (dark) oak spatulas are less prone to visible staining thanks to their rich, naturally darkened tone. To prevent stains, avoid leaving your spatula soaking in deeply colored dishes.
Yes, this is completely normal. When exposed to water and heat for the first time, the natural wood grain can rise slightly, creating a rougher texture. Simply sand it lightly with fine sandpaper and reapply a coat of linseed or sunflower oil. This process smooths the surface and seals the wood again. After this first treatment, your spatula will stay smooth with regular care and feel even more pleasant in the hand over time.
