Wind & Waves Beeswax Taper Candles – Mixed (Set of 2)

Carefully hand-poured in small batches from 100% pure European beeswax with a lead-free cotton wick, this set of two taper candles offers a clean, steady flame and a gentle aroma of honey and meadow blossoms.

Each candle measures approximately 24 cm in height and 2–3 cm in diameter. They are designed to fit perfectly on a pin or needle candleholder. For use in a regular candleholder, the base may need to be slightly trimmed for a secure fit.

Beeswax is prized for its minimal processing, non-toxic nature, and suitability for sensitive environments. It is naturally hypoallergenic and generally safe for people with allergies or sensitivities to synthetic chemicals. Unlike paraffin, beeswax does not release petroleum-based pollutants and burns cleanly with very little soot.

Every candle is poured by hand and carries the natural variations of true craftsmanship: subtle differences in tone, texture, and form that make each one unique.

How should the wick be trimmed?

Keep the wick trimmed to about 3 mm before each use. This ensures an even flame and prevents soot or flickering.

Why beeswax candles vary in color?

Natural beeswax tones range from light golden to deep amber depending on the season, the location of the hives, and the flowers the bees visited. Because of these natural variations, the color of each candle may differ slightly from the photos shown on our website throughout the year.

Do beeswax candles have a fragrance?

Each candle has a subtle, natural honey aroma from the nectar and pollen in the wax. Artificial fragrance oils, even when labeled as natural, can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other substances when burned. Because of that, Kalina believes it is safer to keep candles unscented and let the natural scent of beeswax create a calm and healthy atmosphere.

Are beeswax candles suitable for people with allergies?

Beeswax is naturally hypoallergenic and often well-tolerated by people sensitive to synthetic fragrances or smoke. It burns cleanly with little to no soot and is free from the petroleum compounds found in paraffin. Many believe that beeswax emits gentle negative ions while burning, helping to freshen indoor air and bring subtle relief for those prone to allergies or sensitivities.
